2026-07: **New publication alert** Our work on the isolation and characterization of Bacteroides phages is out! This work was led by Krushe and Khalida, supported by the SUNY Undergraduate Research and Creative Activities Fund.

2026-03: A major milestone for the Huang Lab, we received our first NIH grant!! The R35 / MIRA award supports our research on gut Bacteroidales and their interesting physiology.
2026-03: An Agilent qTOF is being installed! This will provide high-resolution LC-MS capabilities for us to dive deeper and pinpoint mechanisms underlying our high-throughput fitness data.
2026-02: Marissa presented her T35 summer research at the Annual Medical Student Forum at UB. Go Marissa!
2026-01: Alya and Gillian join for a rotation, welcome!
2025-12: Despite the wintry conditions in Buffalo, we escaped from a temple in the jungle in an Escape Room. Pretty good for mostly first-timers!
